b condoms was founded in 2011 by Owner and Morehouse graduate Jason Panda who grew up doing community work in the trenches. He saw the incredibly disproportionate impact that teen pregnancy and HIV/AIDS had on the black community and vowed to make a difference.

Panda worked with the government to be deeply rooted in the communities that are in most need but are commonly ignored. This was done through specifically targeting analytics for state health departments across the nation and sexual health awareness panels.

I connected with Panda to learn more about the only Black-owned condom brand on the market and its impact on the community.

How is b condoms different than other condoms on the market?

“Besides being the only Black-owned condom brand, you don’t often find odorless and organic condoms. b condoms is made with only the best ingredients, making it vegan-friendly, thin, and all-natural. The condoms are also specifically made to fit the average African American male anatomy better, unlike other brands. b condoms is a competitively priced, minimal, and better fitting condom that we, people of color, deserve.”

What need are you filling in the marketplace?

“b condoms is here to initiate conversation and give people of color a seat at the table, whether it is about building businesses or sexual health/statistics. Black people matter, so American culture is uplifted when everyone is a part of the discussion.”

What does the future hold for b condoms?

“b condoms just expanded from NYC to Atlanta! The heart of black culture, but also of many sexual health issues. After gaining success and momentum through government sales, we’re now diving into retail. So, you can expect us in southern stores soon. We also plan to collaborate with big names in the community, and campaigns that will bring safe sex and education straight to our youth. Get ready and join our email list for announcements!”

Keep up with b condoms on Instagram for more.
