6 Black-Owned Designer Handbag Brands to Know & Love

Written By Eliza Colón

There’s nothing like the feeling of a brand new handbag (am I right?). While we love our go-to luxury bags, this year we are shopping with intention as we continue to #BuyBlack. There are so many talented Black designers on the rise, helping us make a statement from the grocery store to a night out. Here’s our list of Black-owned handbag brands you need to know and add to your closet ASAP!

Brandon Blackwood

Brandon Blackwood is bringing pressure to the handbag industry as celebrities and major publications continue to sing his praises. The Brooklyn designer gained significant popularity in 2020 after launching a tote with the phrase “End Systemic Racism”. Blackwood’s NYC upbringing continues to inspire color, design, and diversity in each collection. We are especially loving the Mini Kendrick Trunks with pony hair.
