Sophia Demirtas is the Owner and Creative Director of Fanm Mon, a luxury womenswear brand offering feminine styles and vibrant color combinations. The launch and success of the brand was not planned. It started out of a personal need that blossomed into a global fashion house. Demirtas feels a connection to each creation, and that personal touch resonates with women around the world.
At the helm, Demirtas is a deeply nurturing woman who clearly leads with intention, confidence and an unwavering desire to support other creatives. When speaking about her brand and motivation, her words are as poetic as they are uplifting.
What separates Fanm Mon from other women’s clothing brands?
I have never looked at any other brand to compare their approach to mine. I keep all that energy and focus on what I do, even if others reject it. When I come across a brand doing amazing things, that my spirit is appreciative of, I rejoice for them. I DM a lot of strangers to congratulate them.
Being this way does not give me room to compare, rather I support. So, this could very well be what sets my brand apart. I bring extra chairs to the table.
I am very confident with what I do, and what nurtures that confidence is knowing my vision is pure and mine alone.
What are some of your best selling styles to date?
The top three best sellers from the recent collection are DEMRE, ALANYA and DATCHA.
Looking forward, what can we expect to see from Fanm Mon in the coming months?
I am very excited to relaunch a few designs pre-holiday season, due to an enormous request. I have decided to completely operate on a “seasonless” business model, so we will do our best to keep every design on the website for as long as possible; even if the fabric and embroidery colors change.
