New Orleans is a city rich in history and culture. Tiffany Brown, Owner and Creator of Wicks NOLA Candle Co., has been able to capture the magic of this vibrant city through her line of candles, fragrance oils and diffusers. In 2018, she set out to find a second stream of income, less stressful and more enjoyable than her job at the time. She wanted to do what she loved. From this desire, Wicks NOLA was born, a clean burning, luxury home fragrance line, representing everything New Orleans.
“Our candles represent a city that is so rich in history. The people, the food, the music, all of that culture is infused into our candles,” Brown told BLK OCEANS. “Whether you’re a New Orleans native or just someone who loves this city, our brand provides an experience!”
The line of fragrances is like an aromatic tour of New Orlean with scents like French Quarter Beignet, Bywater and Garden District. The online Etsy shop has seen almost 9,000 sales and boasts a perfect five-star rating. Some of the most popular items include the Vegan Coconut Soy Candle and the Room and Linen Spray.
Growing from a desire to escape her daily grind into a flourishing online business, Wicks NOLA will continue to make big moves in the coming months, with the opening of Brown’s first brick and mortar location in October.
“We are so excited for people to be able to finally come in and connect with the scents in person versus just seeing descriptions and purchasing online,” says Brown.
You can also expect to see Wicks NOLA fragrances lining the shelves of some of your favorite retailers as Brown continues to expand the brand’s reach to more stores in more states.
