Originating a little over a year ago, iiyabox [ee-ya-box] was birthed from the practical need Co-founder Anu Omogbara faced after welcoming her twins. With a toddler already at home, it became necessary to have clothing items in large quantities. This proved difficult to find since necessities such as bibs and baby bodysuits are typically sold in packs of four at the time. Co-founder Bola Omonogun, a mom of two young girls, also valued having quality bundled clothing necessities on hand for her little ones. iiyabox was created to meet that need. Today, the company provides a box of quality everyday baby and children clothing essentials in bundled quantities at a good value.
BLK OCEANS caught up with the mom-duo to learn more about this growing brand that is simplifying mom life.

On listening to the needs of their community:
Our earlier collections were inspired by us, what we put on our own children. We are conscious of modern, simple, and versatile designs for everyday wear that can easily be elevated to a more formal look which we discovered most parents appreciate. Our curated design inspirations also come from feedback received during our interactions with shoppers. At in person events and through shopping analysis, we learn customer favorites, preferences, and even gain ideas for new product offerings. We have recently added more gender specific bundles to our collection to cater to needs voiced by our customers. We are constantly seeking out ways to simplify life for moms and are committed to listening closely as we serve this community.
On their best selling products:
The baby bandana bibs are currently our top sellers. Our customers love the stylishness and functionality. These bibs are made of 100 percent organic cotton, are absorbent, and include adjustable snaps to grow with your baby. We offer our bibs in a variety of gender neutral or gender specific patterns. The bib bundles with teether toys and complimenting burp cloths are also big hits.

On plans for the future:
iiyabox will continue to drive our mission of simplifying life for moms. Along with the recent launch of our ‘subscribe & save’ program that affords parents or gift-givers the convenience of a pre-scheduled box delivery, we plan to expand our product offerings to include other bundled selections such as sleepwear, bath time, and other clothing necessities.
Also, we’ll be expanding our product selections to serve a broader age group of children: baby to preschoolers. Lastly, we are partnering with local non-profit organizations to commence a program focused on supporting families of adoptive and foster children.
